Billy Joe Armstrong, lead singer and guitarist of punk band, Green Day has taken to social media to complain after being removed from a Southwest Airlines flight for refusing to pull up his low-riding trousers.

The 37-year-old complained about his treatment by the airline on his Twitter page following last Thursday’s incident, saying: “Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low! What the —-? No joke!’’

Armstrong was travelling from Oakland to Burbank at the time.
