Taxi! British Airways launches “Don’t fly” Olympics ad campaign
It’s not your usual airline advert. British Airways’ new Olympics advertising campaign declares: “Don’t Fly. Support Team GB.”
British Airways’ new marketing campaign is encouraging Brits to unpack their bags and stay at home to support Team GB during the Olympics.
The new commercial – which is full of special effects – features a BA Boeing 777 taxiing passengers through the streets of London to the soundtrack ‘London Calling’ by The Clash.
The plane comes to a halt at Stratford’s Olympic Stadium with the tagline: “Don’t fly. Support Team GB.”
The new ad, which BA calls “tongue-in-cheek” is part of the airline’s ‘Home Advantage campaign’ to highlight its role as an official Team GB Olympic partner.
BA has also launched an interactive version of its new advert, where you can add your postcode and watch the plane taxi down your street.
