Love isn’t just in the air this Valentine’s Day.
It’ll also be on the ground for one couple who will have the chance to be wined and dined on board a stationary Concorde jet.
It’s being organised by British Airways in a charity auction that will see the highest bidding couple board its flagship Concorde for a romantic three-course meal on February 14.
The supersonic jet, which is parked at Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park, will remain grounded for the experience, which will include red carpet treatment to the aircraft, a table for two, three course meal created by a top chef and bottle of champagne.
Bidders are invited to email firstname.lastname@example.org before midnight on Sunday 12 February stating how much they would be willing to pay for the experience.
BA has set a reserve price of £500 and the winning bidder will be announced on February 13.
All proceeds from the auction will go to BA’s Flying Start global charity partnership with Comic Relief.
