A new sightseeing tour is giving aviation enthusiasts the chance to fly between four major airports just to enjoy their unique attractions.
The new ‘airports only’ tour takes in Seoul Incheon International Airport in South Korea, Hong Kong International Airport, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport over two days.
Kicking off in Hong Kong, passengers can use the airport’s golf course before flying out to Taipei’s international airport and posing for snapshots at the Hello Kitty themed boarding gate and Duty Free shop. Next stop on the itinerary is Singapore’s Changi Airport to try out the facilities, including a 40ft indoor slide and a rooftop pool followed by an overnight stay either airside or in a runway facing room at a nearby hotel.
The 48-hour trip ends at Seoul’s Incheon Airport, which offers attractions such as ice skating, gardens and casinos.
The trip was conceived by Tom Merkli, a travel blogger who took inspiration from Skytrax’s annual Airport Awards, which rank the world’s best airports based on passenger reviews.
Merkli teamed up with OutTrippin.com – a start-up that connects with travel bloggers to offer niche holiday experiences – to put together the two-day trip.
